Welcome to Cremastinae World Palearctic Cremastinae including approximately 125 species of 13 genera. High degree of intraspecific variability makes distinguishing of Cremastines (especially Temelucha and in the lesser degree Cremastus) quite a difficult task. As a result, taxonomy of the subfamily is cumbersome. This situation is much complicated by the fact that certain recent descriptions of species were based on sole type specimens, which, moreover, were often males; such species are usually unrecognizable. My Research of Palearctic Cremastinae 1976-1981 - Biological Faculty of Gorkiy (Nizhniy Novgorod) State University (Cremastinae of Nizhniy Novgorod State). 1981-1985 - Senior Assistant of the Dept. of Systematic, Ecology and Introduction of Entomophages Institute of Biological Methods of Plant Protection (Kishineu, Moldova). 1985-1988 - post-graduate student of Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, Kiev (Systematic and Faunistic on the Palearctic Cremastinae). 1988-1995 - Junior Researcher, Dept. of Entomophagous Insects and Ecological Principles of Biocontrol Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, Kiev (Systematic and Faunistic of Palearctic Cremastinae). 1995-1999: - Associate Editor of the Journal "Vestnik Zoologii" and Head of Information Department Schmalhausen Institute of Zoology, Kiev. New Genera and Species from 1981 to 1995 4 new genera Noxocremastus, Kasparyania, Pharetrophora and Regius are described. 2 genera Celor and Pseudocremastus are resurrected from synonymy. 33 new species are described. Since June 2000 Research of Cremastinae continues Now I prepare the monograph about Palearctic Cremastinae with description approximately 60 new undescribed species (mainly from Temelucha and Cremastus). I am very interested in receipt of Palearctic specimens of Cremastinae for this revision. |
If you have Cremastinae-specimens, I shall be glad to determine them for you. It is possible to write a quite good common article. The possibility of new species founding among your materials cannot be ruled out. Please, address to me. You can look here, how Cremastinae differs from others Ichneumonidae >> |
